Annotation: The review presents the most significant research results of the American psychologist Carroll Izard and in his presentation and interpretation of his predecessors, contemporaries and followers on the problems and issues of emotional expression and patterning of emotions and shows the role of adequate emotion recognition in the formation of emotional intelligence systems.
